What is the General Heat Resistance Range of Flexible Metal Conduits?

Flexible metal conduits are used at the outlet of the air pump. The stainless steel soft connection conduit has the characteristics of high temperature resistance of 400℃, low temperature resistance of -80℃, strong sealing performance, corrosion resistance, high acid and alkali resistance, and long service life. The welding method of the metal hose joint is argon arc welding, stainless steel material, the inner layer of the tube adopts the method of stainless steel corrugated compensator, and the outer layer of the tube is braided with stainless steel wire.

The structure of the metal hose: the composition of the metal hose: it is mainly composed of a metal bellows, a metal mesh body and various types of joints. Its inner tube is a thin-walled stainless steel corrugated tube with spiral corrugation or ring corrugation, and the outer mesh sleeve of the corrugated tube is woven by stainless steel wire or stainless steel strip according to certain parameters.

The joints at both ends of the hose are prepared according to the joint method of the user's conduitline or equipment. Its advantages are that the stainless steel hose has good corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance; the stainless steel hose has strong bending resistance, tensile performance and side pressure resistance.

In complex piping systems, there are often various difficulties in installation due to the limitations of the space and location conditions: the formed conduit cannot be installed; bending, straight, and improvising the installed conduit will inevitably produce partial cold correction. Depending on the conduit diameter and the specific situation of the site, the amount of cold correction ranges from a few millimeters to tens of millimeters, and some up to hundreds of millimeters. Practice has proved that the greater the amount, the higher the internal stress, and these remaining installation stresses in the conduitline system are undoubtedly extremely hidden. A section of the bearing lubricating oil duct in some types of engines has broken accidents many times in actual operation because of excessive installation stress.

Since the metal hose can be bent at will and the internal stress generated by bending under the condition of the rated bending radius is very small, it can bring great convenience to the installation work and also ensure the safe operation of the conduitline system. 

This is the main reason why metal hoses must be used in certain piping systems.
